As a virtual magician doing magic shows for Canada, the real trick is to create an experience that allows an audience to get past the screen, and feel as if they are right there, experiencing the magic, live. Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the ideal number of guests to have attend a Zoom magic show?

Although Zoom can handle a lot, because of the highly interactive nature of my virtual birthday programs (virtual magic show, virtual magic class, and virtual balloon sculpting class), I recommend that the ideal number of guests is between 5 – 20 individual families (individual devices). This allows for maximum participation and fun. Larger parties can certainly be accommodated, and still offer a magically memorable and interactive experience. I just like to create as close to a live birthday party experience as possible, and smaller audiences more closely emulate the experience of your child’s friends gathered together in your living room, experiencing a pre-2020 birthday party.

Does Katrina set up the Zoom call and provide a graphic invite?

My job is to make your job as easy as possible. I will not only set up the Zoom call, but I will provide you with a personalized photo graphic to send to your guests. It has everything your guests will need to know including when, where, and how to log in, as well as the couple of household items (one pencil, two rubber bands) that I request they have on hand to learn magic tricks, real time, during the show.

How do we pay?

I try to keep things as simple as possible for my customers so I use a PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. You can also use your credit card for a 4% processing fee, and it provides you a super safe and easy form of online payment.

Is there time allotted to sing Happy Birthday following the show?

Absolutely, in fact I allot 5 minutes after every birthday party to sing Happy Birthday, have the birthday child blow out their candles, and enjoy a few moments with their guests. This is one of the most treasured, and picture worthy moments of any birthday, and to experience that moment with their friends, family, and even their virtual birthday magician, is very special.

Does Katrina allow time either prior to, or after the virtual birthday party to engage with our guests, open gifts, play games, etc.?

In short, yes. With the way I set up Zoom birthday party magic shows, you and your guests can log in and start the festivities prior to me logging in. In addition (upon request and dependent on availability in my schedule), I can make you co-host following the magic show to continue the festivities for up to an additional 20 minutes. For a number of my clients who want the birthday fun to continue beyond this time, they simply set-up a separate Zoom link (an after party of sorts) of which their guests can simply log onto after my portion of the party concludes.

Are there geographic limits on where we can invite guests from?

That is one of the coolest parts about hosting a virtual birthday party, no longer are you limited to inviting guests within a reasonable driving distance of you, you can invite family and friends from anywhere in the world to participate in your child’s special day. All you have to do is coordinate time zones. As a virtual birthday magician I have witnessed some heartwarming reunions, and magical memories never before possible without the magic of technology.
