Elevating Women's History Month in the Bay Area Magic

March is officially Women's History Month. It's that time of year when we get to honor and celebrate the contributions that women have made to our society and our lives. It's also a time for us to reflect on where we stand in terms of equality and opportunity. This year, in the Bay Area Magic community, we are taking things up a notch. We want to make sure that Women's History Month is not just a month of symbols and platitudes, but a time when we truly elevate women's voices and stories. From their remarkable achievements in various fields to their resilience, empathy, and nurturing spirit, women continue to inspire and uplift societies worldwide. Let us take this moment to reflect on their remarkable journeys, appreciate their unique perspectives, and strive for a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

1) Showcasing women magicians:

One of our main goals this month is to highlight the incredible talent of women magicians. There are so many women out there who are pushing the boundaries of what we think of as "magic," and we want to give them the spotlight they deserve. We will be featuring interviews with some of the most exciting women magicians in the Bay Area, as well as hosting virtual performances and workshops.

2) Historic women magicians:

In addition to celebrating the current generation of women magicians, we also want to pay homage to the women who paved the way. 3) Connecting with local organizations:

Women's History Month is about more than just performing and learning about magic. It's also about making a meaningful impact in our communities. That's why we are partnering with local organizations that support women and girls, We'll be highlighting the important work that organizations are doing and finding ways to support through our magic events.

4) Engaging with our audiences:

Finally, we believe that Women's History Month should be a participatory experience. We want to hear from our audiences and community members about what they care about and what they want to see more of. We'll be hosting forums and Q&A sessions where we can have candid conversations about gender, equity, and representation in magic and beyond.
