I Am Not a Spy. This Is a Magic Show: The Mind-Bending New Show Coming to Hollywood Fringe
There are a few rumors floating around about me right now.
Some people think I can read minds.
Some people think I have secret intelligence training.
One person after a show in Los Angeles asked if I was “government adjacent,” which honestly sounds cooler than it probably is.
To be perfectly clear: I am not a spy.
I’m just a magician who happens to know a suspicious amount about the audience.
And that is exactly why I’m so excited to officially announce my one-woman Hollywood Fringe Festival show:
I Am Not a Spy. This Is a Magic Show.
The title really says it all.
This is a magic show. I am not a spy. Please stop bringing up spies. You’re making it weird.
This new live experience combines 45 minutes of comedic noir, theatrical sleight of hand, interactive mentalism, bizarrely accurate predictions, and absolutely zero espionage activity whatsoever. Audience members may find themselves onstage, and I may accidentally refer to them as “agents,” but that’s just theater terminology. Probably.
Any classified documents involved are props.
Any impossible mind reading is legally considered stagecraft.
And any accusations that I possess advanced interrogation techniques are wildly exaggerated.
What Is I Am Not a Spy Actually About?
Imagine if a James Bond film became slightly more absurdist, significantly more interactive, and somehow involved more lipstick and fewer dead double agents.
That’s roughly the energy.
The show blends cinematic storytelling, comedy, magic, mentalism, audience interaction, and noir-inspired atmosphere into an immersive theatrical experience where nobody is entirely sure what’s real anymore.
I’ve always loved magic that feels personal and story-driven rather than disconnected tricks presented one after another. I wanted to create a show where the audience feels like they’ve stepped into an unfolding mystery rather than simply watching from a distance.
The result is something playful, stylish, interactive, and intentionally suspicious.
But still not spy-related.
Why This Show Feels So Personal
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to perform in more than 20 countries, tour internationally with Champions of Magic, appear on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Masters of Illusion, and even the children’s television show Blippi.
Most recently, I appeared alongside Chappell Roan in the “Red Wine Supernova” music video, which was every bit as fun and chaotic as you’d hope.
And somehow, after all of those incredible experiences, this Hollywood Fringe show still feels deeply special to me.
There’s something exciting about creating an intimate theatrical experience where the audience becomes part of the story. Fringe audiences are curious, adventurous, and wonderfully willing to lean into strange ideas, which makes Hollywood Fringe the perfect home for a noir magic show that absolutely does not involve espionage.
The Kind of Magic I Love Creating
If you’re new here, hi — I’m Magical Katrina, a magician, mentalist, speaker, and definitely-not-spy based in the United States.
My style blends mystery, theatrical storytelling, comedy, and highly interactive magic designed to make audiences feel fully involved in the experience. I love creating performances that feel cinematic, smart, immersive, and just slightly impossible.
I regularly perform in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and London for theaters, private clients, luxury events, and corporate experiences.
Some of the performances and services I offer include:
I’ve had the opportunity to perform for companies and brands including Formula 1, Porsche, Prada, Ritz-Carlton, Google, Meta, OpenAI, Hourglass Cosmetics, and Huda Beauty.
Which sounds suspiciously impressive for someone who is definitely not part of an international intelligence network.
Female Magicians Are Changing the Industry
One thing I care deeply about is helping reimagine what modern magic can look like.
For a long time, female magicians were expected to stand beside the illusion instead of leading it. Thankfully, audiences today are craving originality, personality, storytelling, and connection.
I love being part of a generation of performers creating magic that feels immersive, theatrical, stylish, funny, and emotionally engaging.
Also, I personally believe we need more women in dramatic coats doing mind reading under suspicious lighting.

This show represents so much of what I love about performing.
It’s interactive. It’s theatrical. It’s weird in the best way. It’s funny, mysterious, stylish, and designed to leave audiences delightfully unsure of what they just experienced.
I can’t wait to bring I Am Not a Spy. This Is a Magic Show. to Hollywood Fringe this June and share it with audiences who love magic, comedy, noir storytelling, and impossible moments.
