What its like being a female magician in Los Angeles

It's not easy being a female magician. In a male-dominated industry. Even though there are some really supportive and wonderful male advocates for women in magic -I often have to put up with sexist comments and condescending attitudes from others. But I love what I do, and I'm determined to show the world that women can be just as good at magic as men.

In my experience, the vast majority of magicians are men. This is especially true in the professional world. I've lost count of the number of times I've been the only woman in a room full of magicians. And it's not always an easy environment to be in.

I'm often treated like an outsider by my male colleagues. They make assumptions about my abilities and assume that I'm not as knowledgeable about magic as they are. I've even been told by some men that women can't be real magicians.

But I'm not deterred by these attitudes. I know that I'm just as capable of performing amazing magic tricks as any man. And I love proving them wrong.

I think it's important to have more female role models in magic. We need to show young girls that they can be anything they want to be, even a magician. So if you're a woman who loves magic, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Just go out there and show the world what you're made of.
